4th December 2010 - New Album - "Open Up"
The wait is over! Urban Myth Club's new album is complete and is called "Open Up". It'll be hitting the shops in early spring next year.

13th January 2010 - Compilations and Releases
Happy New Year! It's been a busy few weeks with another three compilation albums forthcoming (including several mixed by Buddha Bar's DJ Ravin). Helium will be released in more territories around the world early this year. There'll also be the first few singles from the new album to look out for - keep checking back for more news soon.

12th October 2009 - Helium released in Australia and New Zealand today

15th January 2009 - UMC on TV
Thank you to everyone who contacts us to let us know about hearing Urban Myth Club on TV. Recently people have heard Urban Myth Club's music popping up on shows such as BBC's Top Gear. We've also heard that unreleased tracks (maybe from the new album?) will be used in the forthcoming series of ITV1's "The Beat". If you hear any UMC tracks on the box or elsewhere, please let us know.

22nd July 2008 - Amazon Bestseller Chart

Urban Myth Club's album "Helium" has entered the Amazon Bestseller chart. For the last three weeks the album has so far reached #45 in the Dance Chart and No.1 in the Chill Out charts. The band have said: "It's a real honour to be above artists such as Air, Goldfrapp, Groove Armada and Moby. We just want to thank everyone who has bought a copy of the album, every DJ and radio station who has played it, every festival organiser and booker who let us play it live and everyone on our christmas card list! A very special thank you to everyone who has told their friends about it! The album couldn't have done it with you!". The chart success for Helium is another milestone for the band who have released the album on Mark's (aka Dezz) own label TRL Music.

24th April 2008 - Radiohead's Creep
Urban Myth Club have just completed a radio mix of Creep by Radiohead with vocals by the fantastic Eliza Lumley. Eliza's No.1 album "She Talks In Maths - Interpretations of Radiohead" puts a twist on eleven classic Radiohead tracks, delivering a beautiful and enchanting album.

23rd April 2008 - New Compilation Track
A brand new compilation ablum - Eco Zen 2 - has just been released.

Compiled by Ben Mynott and Leigh Wood, it features Urban Myth Club's "Spacewalk" along with tracks from other artists including Fragile State, Tom Middleton, Alucidnation and Bombay Dub Orchestra.

11th March 2008 - An Ocean of Sun
Following the success of Urban Myth Club's music in film, TV, commercials and the media, the band have compiled a CD called "An Ocean Of Sun" for exclusive use in the media. The CD features 26 instrumental tracks indexed by down/mid/uptempo. This CD is only available direct from TRL Publishing and features exclusive unreleased material. 13th November 2007- Full of Eastern Promise
Urban Myth Club's track "Breathe" is features on a new compilation album in Asia called "PECADORES ISLAND". The album is released in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong and can be found on import. See the full tracklisting here.

24th September - Best Album nomination
Stop press! Helium has been nominated for "Best Album" in the New Music Awards held in London next month. Urban Myth Club are one of the five albums up for this coveted award. Could this be the new Mercury Music Prize? Find out more on the Glasswerk web site.

7th September 2007 - Rugby World Cup
Urban Myth Club's tracks Breathe and So Beautiful have been selected for a new Documentary and DVD about the All Blacks, tying in with the 2007 Rugby World Cup. The documentary, called "Adidas Warriors: The Story of the All Blacks" is being shown on ITV as well as currently screening on TV around the world. The DVD will be on general release shortly.

2nd August 2007 - Cafe Karma

Spacewalk features on a brand new compilation album by Big Chill's Ben Mynott called "Cafe Karma". The two CD album also featuring artists such as Tosca and Tom Middleton. Elle Magazine seem to like it, "Gorgeous Grooves. 9/10".

28th July 2007 - Secret Garden Party madness
Dezz from Urban Myth Club delivered a two-hour set to a packed Pagoda Stage at Secret Garden Party yesterday. The festival is probably the most bonkers of the year and a firm favourite amongst the fancy-dressed-up crowd.

This year also heralded performances from other hot new acts including chart-topper Kate Nash, Reverand & the Makers and Newton Faulkner (watch out for this guy!).

26th June 2007 - Glasto Fantastico
Thank you to everyone who made Glastonbury an unforgetable lifetime experience. Even the rain and mass of mud couldn't dampen the spirits. What a great crowd! Thank you.

As well as bumping into Fat Boy Slim (who left his wellies in the mud) and having the Klaxons party into night a few coaches away, there was very little sleep had by all (the way it should be). Thanks to Borat for his constant amusement over the weekend. The band are honoured to play at the greatest festival in the world.

7th June 2007 - Glasto Update
If you are one of the lucky 170,000 who got tickets, Urban Myth Club are playing on Friday 22nd June at 1.40pm on the Lounge Stage (Dance Village).

The live band is Niamh McNally, Ian Sanderson, Louis Thorne, Ben Gurney-Smith and Dezz. They will also be joined by label-mate, the fantastic Stillman who will be playing guitar. There will also be a few other visual surprises!

1st June 2007 - Glastonbury 07!
We are delighted to announce that Urban Myth Club will be returning to Glastonbury this year. They will be playing on Friday with a six piece band plus a few surprises. More news to follow.

30th May 2007 - BBC 6 Music
Listen out on the 6 Music breakfast show. We have word that they love the new single 'Moon and the Night' and have adopted it as their "talkie" track!

29th May 2007 - New Single - Moon And The Night
Urban Myth Club's second single, Moon And The Night (radio edit) will be released on 19th June 07. The single features stunning vocals from Clare Szembek (of Captain). Listen out on national radio for the single. Initial reviews have been fantastic:

14th May 2007 - Aussie fans - get a slice
Aussie fans - get hold of a copy of this compilation called "Elysian Vibes 4". It includes Urban Myth Club's "Breathe" and a host of other great tracks.

30th April 2007 - New Album?
We've had lots of people contacting us asking if there is a new Urban Myth Club album in the pipeline. We can reveal that a new album is planned and Dezz and Ian are back in the studio. In terms of release dates, don't hold your breath though - the last album took over two years!

2nd April 2007 - New Compilation Album
Breathe (from the album "Helium") is featured on a lovely compilation album called The Chillout Lounge put together by the amazing DJ Ben Mynott (also one half of Fragile State).

19th January 2007 - Urban Myth Club hit Album Charts
Happy New Year! Spacewalk (from the album "Helium") is featured on a fantastic new compilation album called Departure Lounge: Chill (released worldwide by EMI).

The album is currently in the mainstream and electronic digital charts in lots of countries worldwide including the US, Canada, Australia and in the UK it is nicely sandwiched between Air's "Moon Safari" and Zero 7's "Simple Things"! Now that's what I call good company!

25th November - Xfm Session Feedback
Urban Myth Club want to thank Xfm and DJ Nick Luscombe for inviting the band in for a wonderful session. The "Xfm Session" is one of those rights of passage and the band are honoured to play at the station. Thanks to engineer Chris and massive thanks for Nick's wonderful comments. He said:

19th November - Xfm Session
Urban Myth Club played a session on Xfm today, on Nick Luscombe's acclaimed Flo Motion radio show. The session featured new recordings of 'I Feel It', 'So Beautiful', 'Moon & the Night' and 'Spacewalk'. Appearing alongside Ian and Dezz, was the beautiful voice of Niamh McNally, legendary Louis Thorne on Bass and bongoing Ben Gurney-Smith on Percussion.

18th September - 20,000 Friends at MySpace - Are We Addicted?
Blimey. That's like two nights at Wembly Arena. Thanks to everyone who has joined our MySpace page. We really appreciate your support and and especially your fantastic comments which we read every day. We're also writing a new track called "Gonna have to face it, we're addicted to MySpace". Actually, come to think of it, will there ever be any new music in the world? Surely all bands are so busy on MySpace they never have any time to get in the studio... Keep spreading the Myth.

9th August - Double Trouble at Secret Garden Party
Urban Myth Club will be playing two sets (Live and DJ) at the fantastic Secret Garden Party. The sunset DJ set is happening at The Pagoda, overlooking a beautiful lake, on Saturday 19th August, 6-8pm. The full band will be performing on The Re:mix stage (Eddy Temple-Morris of Xfm) on Sunday 20th at 5pm.

8th August - iTunes features Helium
iTunes Canada is featuring 'Helium' this week on their store front. This adds to features for 'I Feel It' in the UK and 'Helium' across over ten iTunes stores in Europe. What we love about iTunes is they pick purely on an editiorial basis. Keep flying the flag!

24th July - Sound Generator highlights I Feel It
The folks over at Sound Generator, in their review of Pathaan's new compilation album "City Hippy", very kindly highlighted 'I Feel It' writing:

17th July - 10,000 Friends at MySpace

11th July - Live at The Glade this week
Urban Myth Club are playing live this week at Glastonbury offshoot, Glade Festival. The 10,000 strong sell-out promises to be amazing featuring many of the biggest names in Eletronica and Dance. Catch Urban Myth Club headlining on Saturday night (Sunday morning - July 16th) at midnight at the ID Spiral stage.

10th June - City Hippy Compilation
'I Feel It' is featured on Pathaan's (BBC Radio / Ministry of Sound / DJ Mag) latest and wonderful compilation album 'City Hippy'. Sound Generator's review of the compilation made 'I Feel It' "a standout track".

11th May - 'I Feel It' video on TV

'I Feel It' held on to top spot on Radio 101 in Croatia this week. Check out the latest chart [here].

1st May - Synergy gig
Urban Myth Club played in the wonderfully-furnished Synergy gig at the SeOne last Saturday. Twirling spirals and a large screen surrounded the band as they played an 80 minute set with some new material including the track "You Are Here". Thanks to everyone who made it a magical night.

28th April - I Feel it - No.1 in Croatia
I Feel It today reached No.1 on Radio 101 in Croatia. Check out the Top 40 here:

16th April - "I Feel It" - single of the week

"Helium" has been chosen for the Music Week playlist! Blummin' marv! That makes it a double-whammy with "I Feel It" having also previously been selected by surely the finest music industry publication in the land. Other playlist additions are some band called Stereophonics, the rather lovely Zero 7 girly Tina Dico, Tapes N Tapes, Lavender Diamond, Pearl Jam, Sandi Thom, Mr Hudson (who we like very muchly), Bat For Lashes and Kate Havnevik who sings vocals on Royksopp's "Only this Moment" - check out her great debut album.

2nd March 06 - Debut Album and Single - Release Dates Announced
Urban Myth Club's album "Helium" get it's full national release on 17th April 06. You can order it on pre-release from Amazon, HMV, Virgin and just about everywhere else. Helium is also available on import worldwide, including Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, HMV (Japan) and more. The album will be available digitally on iTunes and other top digital stores.

The debut single, after charting in the iTunes Top 30 "I Feel It", is released on CD and Digital on 27th March 06. The single features the remixes including The Young Punx - one of the hottest remix teams around and superstar DJ Nuajji from Africa.

28th February 06 - MySpace No.1 Top Artist
Following on from the Arctic Monkeys, the MySpace phenomenon has hit Urban Myth Club. The band today hit the No.1 Top Artist spot in both the Electronica and Downtempo Charts. Urban Myth Club are keeping good company with the rest of the top 10 consisting of Moby, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Bjork, Groove Armada, Boards of Canada, Goldfrapp, Zero 7 and Massive Attack.

1st November 05 - Music Week Feature
Those lovely folks at Music Week featured Urban Myth Club in this week's magazine, including I Feel It on the covermount CD. Here's an excerpt:

8th August 05 - Big Chill Success
The sun came out and over 4,000 people basked in the beautiful grounds of Eastnor Castle soaking up the sounds of Urban Myth Club. Thanks to everyone who came and to all the people who made the album the big seller of the weekend at the Artist Shop. 31st July 05 - Big Chill Update
Urban Myth Club will be performing at the Big Chill Festival at 2.45pm on Sat 6th Aug on the Chill Stage. The band were previously booked for the Sanctuary Stage but have been upgraded to the 5,000 capacity outdoor stage. The 35,000 tickets for the festival sold out in June. Sorry if you missed out. Growing support from Global DJ Pathaan (Dj Magazine, Ministry of Sound), who has reported to have "caned I Feel It" at Mambos and other clubs in Ibiza.

Music Week, the bible for the Music Industry has chosen “I Feel It“ for its Weekly Playlist, alongside Bloc Party and Coldplay. They say: "A lo-fi collective of songwriters, vocalists and producers, I Feel It possesses an understated charm."

“I Feel It“ has now made the iTunes Top 30 Singles chart, and the 3-track EP has also just entered the Top 40 electronic Album charts at number 34.

1st July 05 - Debut Single - “I Feel It“
“I Feel It“, Urban Myth Club's debut single is available worldwide - released on iTunes. The single is already featured on stations including Radio 1, XFM and in North America.

Urban Myth Club are on their way to Glastonbury, playing this Friday, 7.30pm in the Dance Lounge - part of the new Dance Village. There might even be a few early copies of the new album available after the show, so keep your eyes peeled near the front. Have a great festival!

24th Mar 05 - Urban Myth Club confirmed to play at The Big Chill festival (5-7th Aug)
Pete Lawrence announces Urban Myth Club are confirmed to play at the wonderful Big Chill festival. Pete announced the line up on Rob De Bank's One Music show on Radio 1, and spun Bird's Eye View and Spacewalk. The Club salute you.

Set in the ground of Eastnor Castle, the Big Chill, will this year host 30,000 sun-drenched music-lovers. Don't miss out on one of the highlights of the festival season. Tickets are already on sale and will sell out soon.

A dead cert for the album, the latest track, I Feel It, is completed featuring vocalist Clare Szembek.

Nov - New Track - "Breathe" comes to life
After many hours in the studio, latest track "Breathe" is born. Check the web site in the New Year for previews.

After the amazing reaction to the Club's debut EP, an album is now scheduled for 2005.

14^th Jul - 5,000^th track downloaded
The 5,000^th track from The Secret EP was downloaded yesterday. It was purchased by Nik Taylor from Worcestershire. Thanks to everyone who made this milestone possible.

3^rd May - Release Date Announced
The Secret EP (Ltd Edition) has been given a provisional release date of mid-June. Check the site in a few weeks for more info on where to buy it and how to pre-order it.

20^th Apr - The Secret EP
Urban Myth Club's new release will be called: "The Secret EP". It will feature three to four tracks by the collective. There has been speculation about whether an album will follow. At the moment, nothing has been set in stone, but it could happen, depending on the availability of the Clubbers.
